Parish Health Ministry

Our parish nurse ministry continues to reach out to our congregation, nursing home and community in a variety of ways.

  • Visitation and connecting with people in our congregation who experience illness, grief or are homebound.
  • Involvement with activities and visiting at Wedgewood Manor as well as providing church services and memorial services for residents and staff.
  • Becoming a part of the community Behavioral Health Coalition through the Pembina County Public Health office. This group works to provide services and awareness in our community for persons with mental illnesses and/or addiction issues, as well as prevention programs.
  • Offering information and monthly meetings for those who are caring for persons with dementia and those who are experiencing symptoms of the disease.

ULC Quilters

During the last year, the quilters made over 120 quilts, donating them to Lutheran World Relief, Pembina County Social Services, silent auctions and other fundraising events in the community, the Hospice quilt auction, and baptized babies. We sent about 100 quilts to Minneapolis to be distributed to many areas of the world. This ministry would not be possible if it were not for all of the donated material that comes into our church, as well as many people from the community who enjoy coming together to contribute to this ministry.
